My wedding photography philosophy
Based on my previews experience in a fashion, and after that in news and sport, Wedding photography is the most complicated genre - it’s a fusion of documentary and reportage, portraiture and still life, beauty and fashion, diplomacy and social skills… Wedding is a unique blend of traditions, emotions, places, details and light. This kind of blend cannot be described by any of standard definitions. It’s one of a kind story, once in a life time event and emotions…
That’s why I believe that wedding photography can’t be labeled by “traditional”, “modern”, “journalistic” or any other kind of “style” that most of photographers declare. The unique situation requires unique approach. But at time it has to light, cool and fun! That’s why every time I photographing wedding, bar/bath mitzvah, sweet 16 or any kind of event or assignment, I bring to the table everything I know in news, sport, fashion, modeling and general portraiture.
